Bachelor Party

July 9th, 2009

I will be joining a bachelor’s party tomorrow night and it gets me excited because it is my first time to finally join this kind of party and I believe there will be so much fun! It is a surprise party organized by all managers to the COO of the company and yes, he is getting married next week! There are lots of bachelor party tips in the net but tomorrows party does not follow any usual rules and tips, instead we all agreed to just have so much fun in the company’s staff house… a night full of fun and lots of drinking!

I always declined bachelor party invitation before that I also even disagreed when my hubby asked me to have his own stag party a week before our wedding day. Why? Simply because I don’t like the usual bachelor party activities especially if it involves stripped woman in front of your soon-to-be husband… hehe, I know I sound so impossible and conservative. In other word there are good and bad things inside a bachelor’s party and thereafter.

But this will be a different occasion, shall I say it’s wholesome but I’m sure there will be some mild naughty games and trivia for the soon to be groom, haha…, I’m ok with lots of drinking and lots of dancing and swimming in the pool… and at the end of the day we call it our own version of Bachelor Party we could offer for the groom.

Wedding Countdown

July 7th, 2009

When my cousin pop me a message this afternoon that she is getting married very soon, i can’t help but feel so excited especially that she tasked me to do her wedding invitation! I accepted it without any hesitations since I love to do it for her and simply love doing wedding stuffs like this. I am happy that she finally decided to settle down and tie the knot, this is one of the occasion I’ve been waiting for this year! Time is running fast so I need to canvass materials and scout different designs and come up with the final concept of her wedding invitation as soon as possible… and i thought of going to Ayala tonight.

I’m excited because this will make me do wedding stuffs again and occasions like this makes me reminisce those days I personally prepared my own wedding, and it was such a rewarding experience. I am starting the countdown now towards the big and special event of my cousin’s love story… an occasion that the whole family is waiting for.

Celebrating Friendship

July 6th, 2009

The month of July has the most number of birthdays in my planner and it excites me because I want to be a part in making my friends and cousins’ birthdays a special occasion in my own little way. I thought of a simple greeting via text messaging and by writing something how I cherish them makes additional spark of the occasion.

Today is my bestfriend’s birthday and since we were in highshool, I make sure I don’t forget her birthday by meeting her in person and celebrate… but because of some unwanted happenings in our life that keeps us busy and sometimes keep us apart and lost touch… things changed and I miss her. I may have lots of shortcomings as a friend to her but deep in my heart she will always be my bestfriend and my ‘maid of honor’ forever. Occasions like birthdays help me ponder and reminisce the old times – the happy times and all the ups and downs of our friendship. But God is so good because no matter what He still makes friendship unbreakable.

Happy Birthday Labz’, even if we seldom see each other, but just the same our friendship still etched forever in my heart. I wish you a blossom love life ahead… I’m sure you will be taken cared of with the man you love now. Miss you!

I celebrate friendship this month since most of my friends are July celebrants… and oh! It’s my cousin Charibee’s birthday and my Lola too. Our family celebrated my deceased grandmother’s birthday with a Holy Mass, unfortunately I cannot attend…

And to all birthday celebrants today: Happy Birthday!

Meet the Birthday Celebrant

July 3rd, 2009

friendship

Today’s occasion is the birthday of a friend whom I consider special… she is one of a kind friend and I feel blessed to have her for even if we seldom see each other, she remains a friend. And yes! It’s her birthday today!

4:00 PM – Meet the birthday girl in Mocha Blends – this is one of the entries in my planner for today.

I am in the middle of my 3:00 meeting when I remember that I have an appointment to meet a friend and it’s already 20 minutes to 4:00 in my watch, and the discussion in our meeting seems to take long. Good thing we settled to meet at 4:30 when she texted… I have to make sure to wrap up the meeting before 4:30 and meet the birthday celebrant finally! I did not see her for more than a month now because she was out of the country, so I’m also excited to see her.. hehe..

I can see the radiant of her smile when I entered the coffee shop, enough for me to conclude that she is happy and I love to see that! I’m glad she find time to insert our meeting knowing her busy schedule. Even how short our meeting is, the laughter and exchanging of stories seems long already. Happy Birthday Dear and I’m glad to see you happy and enjoying life to the fullest!

I want to share one of the birthday poems I like that I found somewhere the net before… I rummage my notes this morning and I found it. :)

Birthday Wishes For My Friend
By Joanna Fuchs

On your birthday,
I wish for you the fulfillment
of all your fondest dreams.
I hope that for every candle
on your cake
you get a wonderful surprise.
I wish for you that
whatever you want most in life,
it comes to you,
just the way you imagined it,
or better.
I hope you get as much pleasure
from our friendship as I do.
I wish we were sisters,
so I could have known you
from the beginning.
I look forward to
enjoying our friendship
for many more of your birthdays.
I’m so glad you were born,
because you brighten my life
and fill it with joy.

Happy Birthday!
